Questions
What kinds of data does it find?
Aadhaar numbers, PAN numbers, card numbers, US Social Security numbers, email addresses, phone numbers, UPI IDs, IFSC codes and GSTIN numbers.
Can redacted text still be copied?
No. Ticked text is deleted from the file, so it cannot be copied, searched or read by software, including hidden text layers.
Does it work on scanned PDFs?
It finds text that is in the file. For scanned pages, use Redact PDF and draw boxes over the parts to hide.
Is my document uploaded for the scan?
No. The search and the redaction both run on your device.
