How to use Privacy risk scanner
- Drop a PDF on the page. The tool lists each risk with its level.
- Untick anything that should stay.
- Pick the box colour over personal data: Black or White.
- Click "Make a clean copy".
Questions
What does it look for?
Personal data, invisible text, older versions saved inside the file, attachments, scripts, comments, photo locations and file details like the author.
Will my pages look different?
Personal data you tick gets a box, and its text is deleted, not just covered. Everything else is taken out of the file, and what you see on the pages stays the same.
What if nothing is found?
The tool tells you the file looks safe to share.
Is the file uploaded for the scan?
No. The scan runs in your browser, so the file stays private.
