Headers & footers
Add text, dates and page numbers to every page.
Free, no sign-up. It runs inside your browser: your files never leave your device.
Add headers and footers to every page of a PDF: text, dates, file names and page numbers. There are six spots: left, centre and right, at the top and at the bottom.
How to use Headers & footers
- Drop one or more PDF files on the page.
- Type text in any of the six boxes, from Header left to Footer right. You can use {page}, {pages}, {date}, {time} and {filename}.
- Choose the font, size, colour and distance from the edge.
- Turn on a line under the header, mirroring for double-sided printing, or skipping the cover if you need them.
- Click "Add headers & footers".
Questions
How do I add "Page 1 of 10"?
Footer right already has "Page {page} of {pages}". Move it to any other box if you like.
Can I leave out the cover page?
Yes. Turn on "Skip the first page (cover)", or type the pages in "Only these pages".
Can I add the date or the file name?
Yes. Type {date} or {time} in any box. {filename} adds the file's name.
Is it free?
Yes. It is free, needs no sign-up, and your files stay on your device.
